Hi, I’m Lorraine,
    founder of ZaMa Luxury Candles.

    Based just outside Glasgow, Scotland, I spent over 30 years working in the corporate insurance world. But, at heart, I’ve always been a creative soul and always had a desire to work for myself. My love affair with candles began in my late teens — I’ve always had a dedicated candle drawer! I
    fell in love with the way fragrance could shift a mood, create a sense of calm and transform a room with nothing more than a beautiful scent and a soft, flickering flame.

    So, when the time came to step away from corporate life, the path forward felt natural. I decided to follow my passion and create ZaMa Luxury Candles — a brand built around classic simplicity, quality and affordable luxury.

    As a lifelong candle lover, I’d often been disappointed by candles that didn’t burn beautifully or simply didn’t have enough fragrance.

    I wanted better.

    After years of testing, refining and training with Jo MacFarlane, an award-winning candlemaker and businesswoman, I created a collection of candles, wax melts and diffusers using high-quality fragrance oils, vegan-friendly soy wax and natural cotton and linen wicks. Every product is crafted with care, with a focus on beautiful fragrance, quality ingredients and an elevated experience — without the luxury price tag.

    The story behind ZaMa

    Creating the name for the business wasn’t easy.
    I wanted something meaningful, personal and unique.
    ZaMa is derived from the names of my two sons, Zander and Max. At first, I wasn’t sure about using
    their names, but then I discovered ZaMa means “melt” in Arabic. If that isn’t a sign, I don’t know what is! It just felt right — and so ZaMa Luxury Candles was born.

    Every candle I create is a little piece of something I truly love, and I hope you enjoy discovering ZaMa as much as I’ve loved creating it.
